My tooth is a snaggletooth. I love all my teeth but there is one tooth that really makes me question what happened to me at birth. It is my little sensitive baby snaggletooth its small and sharp. I do not think people notice it when I do begin to speak to them. Which is great I am not going to complain. It is a part of me and I actually like it a lot it adds some character. Some people might find it offense because its not the perfect tooth but I dig it. Lol that is an old school dinosaur word.
I can thank my mother for the earliest memory which was me losing my first then second and third baby teeth and her promising me money that would find its way under my pillow by the tooth fairy. I was a gullible little kid for believing that one. Then I would sleep and dream of buying myself a nice pet shop toy with the money knowing instinctively that my mom would always hook me up with a whole bunch of cute little animal toys. Which were the cutest little things in the world. I am guilty of being a sucker for anything small and cute.
Anyway back to my snaggletooth as the years go by right up to when I was a teenager I would go to the dentist who would notice my snaggle tooth my mom told him that there had been a gap in where my tooth was when I was younger. But the little snaggle tooth had filled the gap right up. The dentist said maybe when shes gets older she would like to fill it in. Then I said to my self whatever! Now I say never. Even though now I give my tooth a nudge with my tongue I can tell its super sensitive, like me. I really cant remember the last time I went to my dentist to check for cavities. Ugh adulting or maybe I am just a lazy girl.
Anyways now fast forward to my ex at the time lets call him Wulfred. After some years of being together he notices my snaggle tooth he can not let it go he said "O wow that sure is a snaggle tooth." I say to myself yep it sure is. In this day in age people can change their appearance and our clothes in order to impress other people who do not matter. If you have something unique please do not change it for someone own agenda. If you want to change that is okay too. Just as long as you want the change to please yourself.
Me and my snaggle have been through it all and to have had the snaggle tooth along for the ride for me to change it for someone elses' fleeting opinion all comes down to my self love for myself for my own well being. My affirmation or some kind words I have for myself is "I have a snaggle tooth it is mine I was born with it it is not hurting any one it is pleasing through my eyes and I just love you snaggle tooth.
