Hi beautiful people leave a comment about how we as a online community can help solve hunger starting within our own communities. Hunger is the lack of the ability to eat and be able to access resources. Please leave your suggestions on this very terrible crisis affecting our communities.
I know what it is like to be hungry. To be that person without food. It really sucks but maybe we together can come up with some ideas that may help someone. Lets try to help people be well feed as the New Year is about to be ushered in.
First there are churches that donate food. The food can range from dry food, canned food, eggs and pasta and sometimes fresh fruits/ vegetables and bread. I would take as much free food as I can carry and stock it. In order to get free food I would have to bring an ID. Some places even require you to bring a utility bill of the place your renting.
Some of the resources I needed was a folding steel storage utility carts for shopping. These carts range from $50 to $100 dollars or less or even free at thrift stores or just ask the churches if they can kindly help with finding one.
Next I would buy cookbooks, nutritional books, wellness books maybe a list of vitamins and minerals, journals. Use these books to research different types of diseases and how to prevent them with proper nutrition.
Growing your own vegetables and fruits is a very helpful skill so you can share with your friends and neighbors. Soil is like $25 bucks and seeds can be as cheap as .99 cents at the dollar tree or home depot during the spring and summer months stock up on some seeds. Another helpful tip is buying organic fruit and vegetables and harvesting the seeds from them that way you can save money on seeds. You can even make your own soil by using organic left over vegetables leaves husks and others. You tube is a great search engine to look up any questions you might have about gardening.
Get a multi vitamin that is high in minerals plus vitamins such as niacin vitamin d vitamin c and fish oil. Multi vitamins are $20 bucks or more. Buy protein shakes another $15 or $25 investment. Protein shakes are a good back up plan in case there is not that much food left and you are trying to get through the couple days left.
Water is very important. I get a case of water every month or a couple of jugs of water which can cost 0.99 cents at places like Wal-mart Dollar tree or even fast food places. In fast food places its call a curiosity cup to get a free cup of water. Another way to get water is the kitchen sink. Investing in one of those water filter jugs or boil the water on the stove to kill bacteria. Visit a friends house or family house and ask if you can grab some available water bottles. Some places like libraries have water fountains.
If you do not know something just ask someone at the library like the librarian for tips.
Keep staying curious to all my readers.
