Mininalism Versus Consumerism

Minimalism vs Consumerism which do you gravitate to? Leave a comment below please thank you.

Consumerism the ability to spend as much money as you can in order to give yourself rewards and feel good feelings. The end result would be less money devoted to savings. Consumerism is a good thing because everybody need items they feel connected with but the problem is spending to much money  to the point were it affects the person negatively. Negative like you are not able to eat because you had to buy the latest makeup that would eventually be tossed in the garbage in two or three years or replaced with something glittery and shiny and new that catches the eye at the time. I need to be self-disciplined especially when I do not have enough money for food rent or transportation. I need to try to buy what I need and spend just a few dollars on what I want. Stick with the basics of life first then pay for yourself/invest in yourself. Whatever money is left over spend it wisely on yourself.

Minimalism from my prospective is spending  more time with people that are good for you. Like  friends and family or talking to a professional about something you have a question about. Meaning spend your time and money on experiences that are beneficial to you. Make sure my own happiness comes first and to continue to  grow and develop and not relay solely on temporary stuff.

My goal I set for myself is to be the happiest person with great memories enjoying nature and music and cultures. I need to get off my phone and enjoy the simplest things in life to be happy. Also taking time to care for people look out for animals and not trash the earth.
